Paula, who works out of a modest 1940's farm house, assumes
the major responsibility for web design and maintenance.
She retired from the University of Central Oklahoma in 2001 and
returned to Ryan, Oklahoma where she grew up. Shortly
after moving back, she ran into Larry Roark
at the town dumpster when they both went to dump their trash at
the same time. They had dated briefly in high school and
were soon inseparable. They married in 2003. When
not working on webs, she spends time helping him take care of
cattle. She particularly enjoys rescuing orphan baby
calves.
Paula, who retired as Professor of Economics,
developed her first website to provide information for her
classes. She says the highlights of her academic career
were teaching at a university in Mexico and being a Fulbright
Scholar to Turkey.
She hates cluttered webs, webs that are hard to navigate and
she really hates animation -- but she admits that that probably
goes with the gray hair. She prefers e-mail to the phone
and checks hers several times a day. She thoroughly enjoys
working with Mike, her younger brother, and says he acts just
like he did growing up.
